When should I book a Christmas market break?

Most markets open in mid-November and run until a few days before Christmas; Copenhagen's Tivoli season stretches into early January. Flights and hotels are cheapest if you book by early autumn and travel midweek. Sunday to Wednesday stays can cost a third less than weekends.

Which Christmas market should I choose?

Vienna is the classic: imperial squares, choirs and proper punch. Prague is the best value, with the market on Old Town Square framed by the astronomical clock. Berlin has dozens of markets across the city, from traditional Gendarmenmarkt to street-food takes. Munich pairs its Christkindlmarkt with beer halls, and Bath offers a no-flight option with Georgian streets and a thermal spa to warm up in.

How the prices work

Each bundle shows a per-person estimate for flights and hotel, plus optional festive activities you can tick on or off to fit your budget. Every part is booked direct with the provider, so the final price is confirmed at their checkout.
